JOB TITLE: Children's Courier   
REPORTS TO: Courier / Site Supervisor / Site Manager / Area Manager
DEPARTMENT: Site Operations

ROLE PURPOSE
To ensure that excellent customer service is provided by organising a variety of on and off-site activities for children between the ages of 4 and 11.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Participate in montage and demontage as and when required, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety guidelines and in accordance with laid down procedures and standards.
  • Assist the Campsite Courier, as per Duties and Responsibilities laid out in Campsite Courier job description as and when required, including the weekly organisation of customer get-togethers and the cleaning and preparation of customer units.
  • Organise and supervise a regular programme of events for children, aged 4-ll years, 4 hours per day, 6 days per week ensuring that the programme is advertised in a way so that Canvas customers are kept aware of the programme of events and timings.
  • Ensure for the safety of all children whilst attending Children’s Club, and as such must adhere strictly to the safety guidelines.
  • Encourage participation of all customer’s children, regardless of nationality, to be achieved by the use of all available resources such as noticeboards, flyers, Welcome Sheets and daily customer visits.
  • Maintain the tent and equipment supplied specifically for the Children’s Club, ensuring hygienic and safe living and play conditions for themselves and their clients.
  • Reflect appropriate Company Image at all times, ensuring correct uniform is worn at correct times and that guidelines regarding corporate identity, dress and alcohol code are rigorously upheld.
  • Ensure all expenditure does not exceed set budgets and is substantiated by appropriate receipts, to be submitted to Site Supervisor or Manager along with expenses sheet.
  • Work in a flexible manner at all times so as to achieve the overall objectives of the Company.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO FULFILL JOB ROLE

Essential
  • Good Spoken and written English
  • Customer Service Experience
  • Team Work
  • Formal Experience of working with children aged 4 – 11
Desirable
  • Conversational language in – French, Spanish, Italian, German or Dutch
  • Camping Industry Experience
  • Teaching/Coaching Qualification
